MIC's Year of France: Alliance Française Open House

As MIC prepares to celebrate France at our gala benefit next June, we encourage all MIC members interested in France to attend Alliance Française's annual open house in their historic North Loop office. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the mission of Alliance Française, as well as sample their French language classes and even observe a French cooking demo.

The Great Game: Afghanistan
Wednesdays-Sundays, September 29 - October 17
The Guthrie Theater is presenting The Great Game: Afghanistan, an acclaimed theatrical production exploring Afghan culture and history in an enthralling three-part event.
Each part of the trilogy is made up of four one-act plays, each by a different playwright, each exploring a critical period of modern Afghan history.
Part 1: Invasions and Independence, covers the years from 1842 to 1930
Part 2: Communism, the Mujahideen and the Taliban, covers 1979 to 1996
Part 3: Enduring Freedom, covers the years from 1996 to the present
When: Each part will be presented on separate evenings at 7:30 PM and consecutively on weekends at 11:30 AM, 3:00 PM, and 7:30 PM.
