MIC’s board of directors meets five times per year, with the executive committee meeting alternate months. MIC has made a special effort to ensure that its board of directors reflects a diversity of cultures. Argentina, Denmark, France, India, Italy, Kenya, the Netherlands, Nepal, Norway, Sweden and Turkey, as well as Canada, Ecuador, Mexico and the Netherlands are represented on this year’s board. Such diversity provides invaluable guidance to all MIC programming and encourages MIC staff and volunteers to model the cross-cultural communication objectives of our programs.
